Our Story
West Caldwell Animal Hospital was built in the early 1960s and has operated from the same location ever since. This longevity affords us the satisfaction of knowing pets their entire lives and getting to know their families as well; some of our adult clients have been coming to us since they were children with their first pets, and the same is true of many of our staff members. In this way, WCAH has built relationships with several generations within individual families. This kind of continuity makes our work especially rewarding.
In 1964, WCAH first received accreditation by the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA), and we are proud to have maintained uninterrupted accreditation since then. AAHA is a strictly voluntary organization that sets standards for excellence in small animal practice – this involves rigorous on-site reviews and continuous self-evaluation. This conforms to our mission to continually provide exceptional care to family pets.
